Vivian Orni

Vivian Orni is an executive-producer and director based in São Paulo, Brazil. She graduated from the School of Film and Television at New York University and later moved to Boston where she worked as an editor for Interlock Media Associates and Cultural Survival. Still in Boston, she  was appointed visiting scholar at the MIT Media Lab where she assisted Professor Goldman-Segall in the creation of Constellations, a pioneering interactive database system.

In Brazil, Vivian worked for Imagem Video directing several commercial video programs for companies like Varig Airlines and VASP.   She was host to NYU’s Professor George Stoney’s award winning video “Letters from Brazil”, a story of letters exchanged between native Brazilians and native Americans.  In 2005 she joined Jah Communications producing and directing  Educational Videos and Animation projects.

Vivian was responsible for the executive production of “Brain Opera” in Brazil, a multimedia interactive exhibition by MIT’s Professor Tod Machover, describing intelligence through a virtual symphony. This exhibition traveled to many cities around the world, including New York, Vienna, Tokyo, Lisbon, just to mention a few.
