
For over 10 years, filmmaker Gerson Damiani, aka JAY, has been working as director, producer, cinematographer and consultant for Documentary Films, TV Series, Commercials and Reality TV shows around the globe.
A graduate of UCLA Film, TV and Digital Entertainment programs, Damiani is co-founder of D&D Films, operating out of Berlin, Los Angeles and São Paulo. D&D Films has undertaken a myriad of documentary, commercial and industrial productions since 1999.
Gerson Damiani also concluded undergraduate and graduate programs in Law, Economics, Social Sciences and Photography/Cinematography through Hamilton College in New York, Duke University, Freie Universität and Humboldt Universität in Berlin, as well as the Sorbonne and Speos in Paris.
Damiani is a member of NAPTE (National Association of Television Program Executives), and the IDA (International Documentary Association) in Los Angeles. He is currently directing the documentary film YAWABANE, as well as the documentary film series POWER to HEAL and INVISIBLE REVOLUTION.
Damiani works as a volunteer for California Lawyers for the Arts, helping people in the creative arts and art organizations through lawyer referrals, educational programs, and Alternative Dispute Resolution through mediation and arbitration. In addition, he contributes to Educational Communications, a non-profit organization founded in 1958, dedicated to improving the quality of life on this planet; there, he offers his expertise in production, principal photography and post-production to ECONEWS, an award-winning television series in its 24th year with over 500 programs, covering topics such as sustainable development and the problems and solutions of the global ecological crisis. Damiani is a passionate swimmer and mountain-biker.
